The Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Supply Chain Planning Specialist or Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position may be based in Palmdale, CA or Melbourne, FL. 9/80 work schedule - every other Friday OFF; no telework available

Global Supply Chain
Responsibilities include:
* Define and develop material strategies to support program and production needs.
* Assess supply chain resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements.
* Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasts and delivery schedules.
* Participate in make/buy decisions, long-term capacity and resource planning, product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life and product-line management.
* Lead affordability, cost-savings, and/or process improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and meet manufacturing and test schedules.
* Analyze purchase material supply/demand positions using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
* Analyze lead times and identify critical-path procurements.
* Work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery at required quality levels for critical components.
* Prioritize and communicate impacts of current and potential material shortages. Basic Qualifications (Level
2):
* Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience in Goods Movement, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management, or a Masters Degree with 0 years experience
- OR - 6 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
