About this role:
As a Clinical Manager with Fresenius Medical Care, you will ensure quality patient care while maintaining clinical operations. As the facility leader, you will be part of a close‑knit, collaborative team responsible for unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients with end‑stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.
Training and Advancement:You will enter the Clinical Leadership Program, which supports continuous learning for managers. The curriculum covers onboarding, essential functions, leading your business, and advanced leadership. As a Clinical Manager, you may advance into an Area Team Lead or Director of Operations role.

Purpose and Scope:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring cost‑effective operations in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse to provide quality patient care from admission to discharge. Market available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Clinic Operations:
- Provides leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
- Partners with Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services departments.
- Collaborates with Home Therapies Program Manager to oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program.
- Maintains integrity of medical and operations records and complies with all data collections and auditing activities.
- Accountable for completion of the Internal Classification of Disease coding.
- Responsible for all required network reporting and on‑site state or federal surveys.
- Manages the tactical execution of short‑ and long‑term objectives through coordination of activities and oversees results, including costs and staffing.
- Administrates daily business operations, including staff functions, quality of patient care, physical plant, equipment, and inventory control.
- Manages profit and loss and other financial aspects to achieve or exceed budget and key performance indicators.
- Coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge.
- Acts as a resource for patients and families to address concerns and questions.
- Oversees timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans.
- Manages patient schedules to ensure facility efficiency and develops action plans for missed treatments.
- Reports changes in patient status regarding clinical, insurance, or transportation issues.
- Participates in the selection and hiring of new team members and ensures completion of orientation and mandatory training.
- Ensures patient‑care employees complete appropriate training and maintain licensure/certification.
- Provides support and encourages professional growth at regular intervals.
- Maintains knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Obtains clinical feedback for employee evaluations and establishes annual goals.
- Documents disciplinary actions and consults with the clinic Director of Operations and Human Resources when needed.
- Manages staff scheduling and payroll.
- Facilitates application for physician privileges and ensures compliance with medical staff by‑laws.
- Maintains strong physician relationships and communicates regularly.
- Participates in the governing body governing policies for the region.
- Provides oversight as needed to the Clinical Manager/Charge RN and Medical Director regarding direct patient care responsibilities.
- Coordinates patient care from admission to discharge.
- Addresses patient concerns and reviews satisfaction surveys.
- Develops patient schedules to maximize facility efficiency.
