Library Acquisitions Program Manager

County Manager for Onslow County, North Carolina, pop. 160,000. Manager reports to a five-member Board of Commissioners and serves as the county’s chief administrator for 1170 employees in 26 departments with a total annual operating budget in excess of $161 million.

• Planning and implementation of operational and long-term policies and goals
• leadership and management of 26 departments
• coordination and communication with five-member Board of Commissioners
• flexible and able to use independent judgment and discretion in preparing goals, setting schedules, assigning work and planning for future needs of the County.

• Minimum requirements include Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) with five years of senior management experience in local government administration, policies, procedures, and budgeting.
• Applicants must have strong communication, organizational, strategic, and consensus-building skills.
