Position Summary
STS Aviation Services is hiring an Aircraft Production Control Supervisor to support planning and maintenance operations at our MOD Center in Melbourne, Florida. This role is critical to the success of our aircraft maintenance programs and is built for experienced aviation leaders who understand how to balance schedule, manpower, materials, and regulatory compliance in a fast paced Part 145 environment.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications- High school diploma required
- Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Minimum of six years of experience in management or supervision of aircraft maintenance operations within an FAA Repair Station environment
- Thorough working knowledge of FAR Part 145, Part 121, and Part 91 operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and Power Point
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planning and Material Control to ensure parts, supplies, and repair plans are in place for aircraft in maintenance
- Proactively identify and resolve production control issues, adjusting resources as needed to optimize maintenance operations
- Provide customers with timely, accurate, and appropriate maintenance status updates
- Monitor and evaluate maintenance requirements for progress or issues and adjust workload priorities as necessary
- Oversee the compilation and analysis of maintenance production data using applicable software systems
- Work closely with Line Managers to plan and coordinate maintenance activities within the Repair Station
- Plan workload execution to meet maintenance schedules using available man hours and adjust staffing plans as required
- Analyze production metrics including man hours required, man hours available, man hours used, task specific labor utilization, on time delivery performance, and causes of production delays
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Planning in support of day to day operational needs
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, work stands, and access elevated work areas
- Correctable near and far vision required
- Ability to hear at a conversational level, with or without hearing aids
- Ability to work in environments with intermittent moderate noise levels
- Ability to visually identify close and distant objects as required for the role
