Rework Operator II

We are seeking a Rework Operator II for onsite work in Melbourne, FL.
Responsibilities- Perform assembly, rework, and inspection of printed circuit assemblies.
- Follow assembly procedures and visual aid instructions.
- Verify integrity of material to be assembled.
- Assemble electronic components (resistors, capacitors, connectors, sockets) in specific PCB locations following wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Solder components in specified PCB locations.
- Perform ECO rework on SMT and pin-through-hole components.
- Add wires to specific PCB locations following assembly procedures.
- Remove and replace components using desoldering tools, soldering irons, and rework stations.
- Repair PCB etches, pads, and vias using advanced soldering techniques and epoxy.
- Track RMA and NPI processes.
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and completeness per IPC-A-610 Acceptability Guidelines.
- Pre‑form component leads per IPC standard and assembly procedure.
- Control, document, and process MRB non‑conforming material.
- Remove and replace BGAs.
- Repair BGA sites using solder wick and epoxy.
- Follow ISO and job‑specific procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of work‑in‑process for the work cell.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and surroundings.
- Participate in Quality team meetings as needed.
- Maintain ESD integrity within production environment.
- Train other employees as needed.
- Other responsibilities as directed.
Pay: $20.00 / hr (dependent upon experience)
Hours:
40 hrs / Week (1st shift) 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Length:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active IPC 7711/7721 certification.
- Active J-STD-001 certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards, including rework and inspection.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT work such as soldering resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, ICs, diodes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with soldering under a microscope.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with rework tools and repair techniques.
- Technical certificate.
- IPC-A-610 certification.
- Knowledge of ISO
9001 and ISO 13485. - ESD training.
- Knowledge of PCB assembly and product assembly processes.
- Knowledge of component value identification and component nomenclature.
- Ability to read test procedures and follow verbal instructions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Teamwork ability.
- Excellent computer skills, problem solving, and workstation skills.
- Ability to lead in a multitasking, highly dynamic work environment.
- Experience with fine‑pitch work.
- Knowledge of component indicators.
- Ability to reach engineering change orders (ECO).
- Ability to read and find AMS.
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will need to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
- Ability to sit and look through microscope for extended periods of time.
- Under ITAR, all employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying status as a 'U.S. Person'.
