Job Title:
Soldering Technician
This role focuses on precision soldering and assembly of pins onto connector boards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that supports aerospace and aviation projects. You will work with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and pin through‑hole soldering, using soldering tools and small hand tools to build high‑reliability connector assemblies in accordance with IPC J‑STD‑001 standards.
Responsibilities- Solder and assemble pins onto connector boards using SMT and pin through‑hole techniques in compliance with IPC J‑STD‑001 standards.
- Use soldering tools and small hand tools to assemble, rework, and repair aerospace and aviation connector components.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and soldering of components.
- Inspect solder joints and assemblies visually and with basic inspection tools to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
- Handle mechanical, electrical, and aerospace components carefully to maintain product integrity and reliability.
- Perform component assembly on connectors and related aerospace and aviation hardware as required by production schedules.
- Work efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with team members and leads to meet production goals, resolve assembly issues, and continuously improve processes.
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures, including proper use and care of tools and equipment.
- Active IPC J‑STD‑001 certification.
- Minimum of 2+ years of recent soldering experience within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Hands‑on experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering.
- Hands‑on experience with pin through‑hole soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency using soldering tools and small hand tools for electronic and connector assembly.
- Experience working with aerospace components and connectors.
- Strong inspection skills to verify solder quality and assembly accuracy.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude relevant to electronic assembly work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience assembling aerospace and aviation components and connector assemblies.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based in a fast‑paced manufacturing facility operating Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the option to work additional hours on Fridays as needed. You will work on a production floor handling aerospace and aviation components, using soldering tools, small hand tools, and inspection equipment to assemble connector boards. The environment emphasizes adherence to quality and safety procedures, with structured processes and clear work instructions guiding daily tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melbourne, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
