Bindery Operator Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Bindery Operators to join our print shop.
First and second shifts are available. This position is responsible for helping finish printed materials accurately, efficiently, and according to job specifications.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to keep up with workflow demands between departments. Overtime may be required as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and assist with bindery and finishing equipment
  • Set up, feed, monitor, and unload bindery machines
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
  • Cut, fold, stitch, drill, pad, shrink wrap, package, or assemble printed materials as needed
  • Read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production instructions
  • Maintain steady production while ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Stack, count, bundle, box, and prepare finished products for the next production stage
  • Keep machines fed and assist other operators to maintain workflow
  • Communicate job details, issues, or delays with supervisors and team members
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all company safety procedures
  • Assist with general production duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous bindery, printing, manufacturing, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment
  • Ability to read and follow written job instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, stack, and move printed materials as required
  • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
Ideal Candidate

The right candidate will be dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working around machinery. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing clean, accurate, high-quality finished print products and works well as part of a team.
