Assembly Technician – Melbourne, FL

Job Title:

On-site - Melbourne, FL

Temp to Direct

Compensation: $25.00-$28.00/hr

Shift: 2nd – Monday to Friday, 3:30PM–12:00AM

Responsibilities
  • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly of mechanical and electronic components, including modules, boards, panels, frames, and cables.
  • Interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings to support assembly, layout design, and build processes.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fixtures to complete precise assembly tasks.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and test prototype or experimental assemblies under simulated conditions.
  • Follow FAA-approved procedures, OEM guidelines, and technical manuals to ensure compliant and accurate builds.
  • Complete required documentation and coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspections and airworthiness certification.
  • Subject to background check and drug screen upon offer of employment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in aviation or aerospace assembly.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in assembly of aircraft structures.
  • 2‑4 years of experience using technical data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
  • Good decision‑making and leadership skills.
  • Experience with avionics and flight controls.
  • Proficient in riveting, installing related hardware, using precision instruments, and utilizing hand tools.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and repair.
  • Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if needed.
