Job Summary

The Lead Electrical Assembler III coordinates daily production activities at the Melbourne CNS IPT while performing and overseeing high‑quality electrical assembly work. The position is located in Melbourne, Florida (307), 1100 W Hibiscus Blvd, Bldg 307, and requires onsite work and a U.S. Person. The role ensures production priorities are met, workmanship and compliance standards are upheld, and continuous improvement initiatives are supported through collaboration, technical expertise, and adherence to safety, quality, and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production activities within the Melbourne CNS IPT and maintain effective pass‑down with other shifts.
  • Perform specific tasks such as soldering, hardware installation, and post‑coating once trained or certified.
  • Inspect own work to ensure it meets workmanship standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications.
  • Meet productivity expectations to satisfy customer deadlines.
  • Comply with all Raytheon Technologies rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics and Compliance, Quality, and attendance requirements.
  • Participate in cost‑reduction plans, continuous‑improvement plans/events, audits, and training programs.
  • Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report work progress and updates to supervisor.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the scope and skill level of this position and develop individual skills as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligibility to obtain necessary export authorizations.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • CI or CQSI certification in Planar and Conformal Coat.
  • Completion of Planar and Conformal Coat training.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
  • Ability to complete training modules associated with job grade.
  • Ability to follow assembly instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Understanding of end uses of products being built.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure safety and quality.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills (typing, navigating screens, learning new software).
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to take direction.
