The Aircraft Painter is responsible for performing skilled painting tasks on aircraft and aircraft parts in accordance with OEM specifications, FAA regulations, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare all surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing and removal of dents.
- Apply corrosive preventative treatments, primers, and finish coats of special Material.
- Complete Aircraft for customer acceptance by brush touch-up, cleaning striping lines and removal of overspray.
- 3–5 years of aircraft painting experience.
- Experience with spray applications, primer coats, and final finishes.
- Ability to apply stenciling, gloss finishes, and specialty coatings.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and paint mixing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to pass respirator certification and painter skill testing.
