About the Opportunity
Join our client, a leader in the aviation industry, as a Production Manager in Melbourne, FL. This is a dynamic role where you’ll oversee the seamless flow of high‑end aircraft painting operations, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the site Operations Manager, you’ll manage three shifts and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities- Manage end‑to‑end painting operations for VIP and business jet aircraft, ensuring ultra‑high‑quality finishes.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet stringent delivery timelines without sacrificing quality or compliance.
- Supervise a team of skilled painters, prep technicians, and detailers, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and client‑specific requirements in all processes.
- Collaborate with various teams to deliver custom livery designs and flawless execution.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols, including paint thickness testing and surface smoothness evaluation.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, and turnaround time while maintaining luxury standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections for traceability.
- Uphold professionalism and discretion with VIP clients, aircraft, and proprietary designs.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and compliant with environmental and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft painting, focusing on business/corporate or VIP jets.
- 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role within the aerospace sector.
- In‑depth knowledge of high‑end aircraft coating systems, custom paint schemes, and high‑gloss finishing techniques.
- Strong understanding of aviation industry regulations and luxury aircraft presentation best practices.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environment with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting directly with clients or their representatives.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, or Business preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000.
