CNC Machinist - 1st & 2nd

Position Summary

JSG is hiring a CNC Machinist – 1st & 2nd shift in Melbourne, FL! Pay rate: $25-$35 DOE.

• Demonstrate good print reading skills and an understanding of GD&T.
• Read and write basic G & M codes, tool offsets and work offsets, spindle speeds and feed rates.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment to inspect parts.
• Produce parts in stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.
• Produce small machine parts using machine controls to program, set up, and operate CNC mills.
• Maintain high quality and safety standards, keep records, maintain equipment and needed supplies.
• Reduce cost and improve on-time delivery for existing products; support the quality system; collaborate with supervisor and other departments to shorten cycle time or improve the process.
• Plan the work day by studying work orders, drawing specifications, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Adhere to procedures in accordance with ISO and AS9100 Quality Systems.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting irregularities for repairs.

• 3–5 years of machining experience.
• Strong print reading skills and familiarity with GD&T.
• Knowledge of G & M codes, tool and work offsets, spindle speeds, and feed rates.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to produce parts in stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.
• Understanding of ISO and AS9100 quality systems.
