Position Overview
Machine Operator (SMT Operator) – West Melbourne, FL (Kelly® team).
Salary: $16.50 per hour plus 10% shift differential. Shift: 3rd Shift (Sunday 10:30 pm–7:30 am; Monday–Thursday 11:00 pm–7:30 am). Flexible hours and weekends allowed.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and maintain screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards.
- Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
- Inspect own work to ensure accuracy, integrity, and adherence to established workmanship standards.
- Identify and report defective components, maintain data logs, and ensure cleanliness and accuracy of work area.
- Participate in quality teams and possibly train other employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 1+ years of experience operating SMT equipment (preferred).
- IPC‑A‑610 certification and ESD training (preferred).
- Knowledge of component identification, nomenclature, and handling including ESD requirements.
- Basic computer, problem‑solving, and workstation skills.
- Well‑organized, able to prioritize, and communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 and IPC‑610 requirements.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- U.S. Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15.
