Plating Technician - 2nd Shift

Plating Technician (Weekend Shift)

Weekend shift plating technician responsible for various operational duties in the plating shop. Requires a high degree of independence and efficiency, supports lean processes, promotes cost reductions and profitable growth, provides excellent customer service and quality, and promotes continual improvement and safety.

• Shift availability:
  Ability to train on the main shift before transitioning to the second shift.
• Safety & chemical handling:
  Comfortable working with chemicals and strictly adhering to all safety requirements.
• Skills:
  
  Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills to support product assembly and manufacturing.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Ability to be on your feet all day and move between different process areas.
• Capability to work independently, stay on task, and manage multiple priorities with deadlines.
• Basic understanding of drawings, work instructions, and computer data entry skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to provide feedback.
• Positive, engaged, and infectious attitude that is easy to work with and aligns with company culture.

• Prepare work by studying product and process documentation, parts lists, tools, and fixtures.
• Set up and operate appropriate equipment, tanks, and fixtures to plate various components.
• Review documentation and work instructions to ensure alignment with engineering drawings.
• Follow all instructions provided for daily and weekly tasks.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Record and document all assembly‑related inspection and test results, materials, parts, tools, and fixtures in accordance with product and process specifications.
• Perform all labor, parts, and related transactions on time and accurately in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Investigate operational problems affecting production, report, and recommend solutions.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency by effectively training production staff on manufacturing/assembly processes and methods.
• Ensure written processes translate into efficient and reliable production; recommend changes to Engineering as required.
• Continually seek ways to simplify operations, invest, and/or rationalize costs.

Collaborate across the organization by leading by example, holding people accountable, and utilizing data to make informed decisions. Work with management, employees, vendors, and customers to have a positive impact.
