New Life Mission is looking for a highly motivated, detail-orientated people-person to coordinate mission events for our growing nonprofit as we continue to help Brevard County women with children permanently break the cycle of homelessness.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Mission Events Coordinato
r leads the planning, coordination and execution of mission events that engage donors, volunteers, community partners, staff and resident families. This role manages event logistics from concept to completion, ensuring every event reflects New Life Mission's values, strengthens relationships and advances the organization's strategic objectives.

Working collaboratively across Development, Programs and Operations, the Mission Events Coordinator creates meaningful experiences that build community, inspire generosity and support the transformation of women and children experiencing homelessness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Event Planning and Execution
  • Plan and execute mission events as assigned by the Director of Development.
  • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines and project schedules.
  • Coordinate venues, vendors, equipment, catering and event logistics.
  • Manage assigned event budgets and maintain accurate expense records.
  • Evaluate event outcomes and recommend improvements for future events.
  • Ensure all events reflect New Life Mission's mission, values and hospitality standards.
Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Development, Programs and Operations to plan events that support organizational goals.
  • Coordinate staff assignments and event-day responsibilities.
  • Support resident participation in mission events when appropriate.
  • Work with event committees by coordinating meetings, documenting action items and communicating updates.
Community Partnerships and Resources
  • Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify and engage volunteers needed for mission events.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to identify community partners who can provide venues, food, entertainment, auction items, in-kind donations and event support.
  • Build positive relationships with vendors, community organizations and event partners.
Communications & Guest Experience
  • Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator on invitations, event materials, signage and promotional content.
  • Ensure guests experience exceptional hospitality from registration through follow-up.
  • Coordinate event photography, storytelling and post-event communication needs.
Systems and Administration
  • Maintain event documentation, timelines and planning resources.
  • Utilize event technology and project management tools to improve efficiency.
  • Track event metrics and provide post-event reports.
  • Recommend improvements that strengthen future mission events.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Experience planning and coordinating complex events, preferably in a nonprofit, ministry or hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrates the gift of hospitality by creating welcoming, organized and meaningful experiences for guests, volunteers, donors, resident families and community partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and logistics simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, vendors and community partners.
SALARY/HOURS
  • Full-time position – 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
  • Full benefits package available, including health insurance, Simple IRA match, PTO and paid holidays.
  • Salary dependent on work experience, skillset and education
  • Drug testing and background check required.
