Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring EPIC experience, FL or compact RN license, and 2 years of recent PCU experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Care for step-down level patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
- Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15)
- Required to work every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, based on unit needs
- Float required to other units or locations as needed, with a home base in PCU
- Uses EPIC electronic medical record system
- No on-call requirement for this position
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Free parking provided with a decal given at orientation
- Scrubs of any solid color allowed, matching top and bottom required, no logos or prints
- Labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing
- Orientation includes completion of required modules and annual compliance training
- No radius rule; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Holiday shift coverage is required as determined by unit needs
- Travel pairs may be considered but matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
- Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years recent PCU experience
- Experience with EPIC charting system required
- Two professional references from nurse leaders within the last year required
- Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31 unless medically or religiously exempt
- Must wait 1 year after ending an internal contracted position before reapplying
