Your Specific Responsibilities:

* Assess and manage individuals assigned to the Student Parent Program.

* Rotate weekly to Student Parent Program school sites for nursing assessments, First Aid, Medication Administration as necessary while present at the school.

* Education regarding vaccinations for daycare staff and students in the Student Parent Program.

* Ongoing education and daily enforcement of handwashing of students in the Student Parent Program and daycare staff.

* Provide education for School District staff for health-related topics, child-specific training on conditions and health-related procedures.

* Maintains accurate records/documentation of all work performed.

* Communicate with courtesy, respect and understanding when working with students, parents and staff.

* Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).

* Knowledge of computer programs.

* Knowledge of Nursing Processes.

* Ability to function independently.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

* Valid Florida RN license or a multi state RN license from another compact state

* Labor & Delivery or Mother/Baby Nursing experience.

* Must be able to acquire CPR & First Aid prior to on-boarding.

* Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.

* Must have transportation in order to travel to Brevard Public Schools in Brevard County, FL.
