Requirements

Licensure & Certification:

• Florida RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• BLS, WCC certification required
• WOCN certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of wound care experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience in hospital, trauma level II, and community hospital settings preferred

Skills & Knowledge

• Wound care management including pressure ulcers, venous, neuropathic, and peripheral arterial ulcers
• Ostomy care: colostomy, ileostomy, stoma management, ostomy equipment selection
• Continence management including catheters, female/male external catheters
• G-tube/J-tube care
• Wound treatments: alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, enzymatic and autolytic debriding agents, silver products, VAC therapy
• Risk assessment and Braden scale assessment
