About the Role
Devereux Florida provides services to children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral health needs who live on-site while in treatment. Located in Viera, FL, this position is responsible for ensuring client care by providing medications, ensuring regular medical checkups, keeping medical files updated, maintaining open communication with clients' family and medical staff (doctors, therapists, other nurses), and supporting a therapeutic environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals we serve.

Salary:
Starts at $32.00 - $37.30 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience).
Schedule:
Full‑time with flexible schedules. 12‑hour shifts (7 pm – 7 am) 3 days a week; must be available for 1 weekend shift per week.

Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing:
Associate’s Degree or Diploma required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred. - Board certification:
Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida required;
Registered Nurse in the State of Florida preferred.
Other Requirements
- Completion of a two‑week (Monday – Friday) new hire orientation (hours 9 am – 5 pm) offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.
- 2 years of nursing experience or experience working with DJJ, IDD, or psychiatric populations in a group home or residential facility preferred.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment medical screenings: drug test, physical, TB test.
- Proficiency in nursing assessment skills and basic software programs.
- Successful Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
