Job Summary

Devereux Florida provides services to children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral health needs who live on‑site while in treatment. Located in Viera, FL, this position is responsible for ensuring client care by providing medications, regular medical checkups, keeping medical files updated, communicating with clients’ families and medical staff (doctors, therapists, nurses), supporting a therapeutic environment, and ensuring the safety and well‑being of the individuals we serve.

Salary:
Starts at $32.00 – $37.30 / hr (rate based on education and relevant experience).

Schedule:

Full‑time. Flexible schedules. 8‑hour shifts (3 pm – 11 pm), 5 days a week; must be available for one weekend shift per week.

Location:

Viera, FL.

• Provide medications to clients.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school:
  Associate’s Degree or Diploma required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Board certification:
  Licensed Practical Nurse in Florida required;
  Registered Nurse in Florida preferred.

• Complete a two‑week (Mon‑Fri) new‑hire orientation (9 am – 5 pm each day) offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.
• Two years of nursing experience or prior experience working with DJJ, IDD, or psychiatric populations in a group home or residential facility preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Successfully pass pre‑employment medical screenings (drug test, physical, TB test).
• Proficient in nursing assessment skills and basic software programs.
• Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
