Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Serving Holmes Regional Medical Center

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant opportunities available in the Melbourne, Florida area. Advent Health for Children and Advent Health Medical Group are seeking dynamic, innovative and energetic NNP or PA‑C for Level 2 NICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC).

The APP, under the supervision of Physicians, is responsible for providing care for NICU and Newborn patients within scope of licensure and supervising physician’s scope.

• Provide care for NICU and Newborn patients within scope of licensure and supervising physician’s scope.
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs, x‑rays and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under guidance of the Neonatologist.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical lines, PICC lines, chest tube placement and circumcisions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, other specialists and NICU team members.
• Provide education and support to patients’ families.
• Dispense medications under collaborative agreement with supervising physician.

24‑hour shifts (8 am‑8 am).

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies with Neonatal Certification (required).
• 1‑2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN (highly preferred).
• 1‑2 years of experience in the NICU as a Neonatal APRN or Neonatal PA‑C (preferred but not required).

• Valid Florida APRN or PA License with Neonatal certification.
• Certification through ANCC or other nationally recognized certifying body.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
