Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Advent Health Therapeutics is looking for dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatal nurse practitioners or PA-Cs to work in the Level 2 NICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Melbourne, Florida. The NNP/PA-C will work in collaboration with the neonatologist to cover a 10‑bed Level 2 NICU and newborn service.

• Provide care for NICU and newborn patients within the scope of licensure and supervising physician’s scope of practice.
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs, x‑rays and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under the guidance of the neonatologist.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical lines, PICC lines, chest tube placement, and circumcisions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, other specialists and NICU team members.
• Provide education and support to patients’ families.
• Dispense medications under a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.

• 24‑hour shifts (8 am–8 am)

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies with neonatal certification (required).
• 1–2 years of NICU experience as an RN (highly preferred).
• 1–2 years of NICU experience as an NRNP or neonatal PA-C (preferred but not required).

• Valid Florida APRN or PA license with neonatal certification.
• Certification through ANCC or another nationally recognized certifying body.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.

Melbourne is located in southern Brevard County, southeast of Orlando on Florida’s east coast, astride the Indian River Lagoon.
