Nurse Manager

Overview

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care in alignment with Mission Health’s commitment to compassionate service and community wellness.

The Nurse Manager will lead and mentor a team of registered nurses and support staff, manage staffing and scheduling, and promote a collaborative, respectful work environment that fosters professional growth and continuous improvement.

• Supervise clinical practice standards, coordinate patient care activities, monitor quality and patient safety indicators, and partner with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes.
• Accountable for unit-level budgeting, resource allocation, and efficient throughput, as well as compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and coaching, while supporting staff development through education, competency validation, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Implement organizational policies, lead change initiatives, and engage in strategic planning to support Mission Health’s long-term goals.

• Experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
