Position Overview

Devereux Florida provides services to children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral health needs who live on‑site while in treatment. Located in Viera, FL, this position is responsible for ensuring client care by providing medications, ensuring regular medical checkups, keeping medical files updated, maintaining open communication with clients’ families and medical staff, and supporting a therapeutic environment while ensuring the safety and well‑being of the individuals we serve.

Salary:
Starts at $32.00 - $37.30 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience).

Schedule:

Full‑time with flexible schedules.

• 8‑hour shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM); 5 days a week
• Must be available for 1 weekend shift per week

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing:
  • Associate’s Degree or Diploma required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (strongly preferred)
• Board certification:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida required
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Florida preferred

• Must be able to complete a two‑week (Monday – Friday) new hire orientation class; approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Orientations are offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.
• 2 years of nursing experience or prior experience working with DJJ, IDD, or psychiatric populations in a group home or residential facility preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Successfully pass pre‑employment medical screenings which include drug test, physical, TB test.
• Must be proficient in nursing assessment skills and basic software programs.
