Position Summary
To be fully engaged by aligning with Health First's (HF) Value Promise and aspirations as a wellness company in all aspects of work performed. Manage the planning, directing, and assessing all unit functions, including evaluation of patient care for the facility. Partner with manager and wound care leadership on developing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures for the Wound Care Services, establishing goals, selection of personnel, budget preparation, and cost-effective operations.
Serve as clinical and professional role model to staff and assist with professional growth and career development. Oversee quality improvement activities, counseling and disciplinary actions as needed.
Primary Accountabilities
Ensure department meets or exceeds patient and staff safety regulations, and proactively addresses any gaps.Ensure competence and education of associates in designated field as evidenced by the unit's pre-established standards.Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other organizational and regulatory agency standards with quality indicators.Perform wound care clinical skills within the scope of practice of a registered nurse in the state of Florida for which the skills and knowledge have been validated via skills checklists.Contribute to the customer experience goals as evidenced by positive patient verbal and/or written comments for the department and team.Serve as role model for all unit staff by setting an example of high standards in conduct, attitude, performance, and patient/family relations.Encourage individual and group collaboration to problem solve and achieve high quality customer care.Facilitate communication with team members, physicians, and administrative personnel.Ensure cost effective unit operations within budgetary expectations and corporate financial goals.Prepare and adjust staffing plan based on unit census and acuity daily.Ensure staffing schedules are completed on time and in compliance with approved staffing plan.Participate in the disciplinary conferences for individuals not following hospital policy/procedure or whose actions necessitate corrective action. May take on team office lead role to assist with office activities and functions to maintain efficiency and compliance with company policies.Leader Accountabilities

Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
3 years of clinical experience.1 year of clinical supervisory experience.- Licensure:
Current Florida RN license or endorsement. - Certification:
Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card; maintain in good standing. - Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC), Florida Nurse Practice Act, and other applicable agency regulations including CMS guidelines for wound care.Basic computer skills utilizing the Microsoft environment, EMR and other software and platforms related to role.Knowledge of current wound care assessment skills, documentation, and treatment modalities.Preferred Qualifications
