Emergency Veterinarian – Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program – Melbourne, FL
Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6‑month (flexible) training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position with our team.
Located just a few minutes from the beach, our innovative veterinary hospital offers specialty referral and 24‑hour emergency care. Our team includes a board-certified dentist, a board-certified surgeon, emergency clinicians, a certified canine rehabilitation therapist, and a well-established group of support staff. We provide a tight‑knit, cooperative environment that supports each other.
The facility is equipped with CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy, ventilatory support, physical therapy (underwater treadmill/acupuncture), and a full in‑house laboratory. We have full surgical capabilities and a goal to provide premiere diagnostics and therapeutics in a comfortable, compassionate environment.
Our hospital is centrally located on Florida’s east coast, 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The community is friendly and welcoming, attracting high‑tech and engineering professionals. As a beach/waterfront community, we enjoy a subtropical climate and unlimited outdoor activities year‑round. We are 45 minutes from Orlando, two hours from Tampa, three hours from Miami, and four hours from the Florida Keys.

Ethos ER Immerse Training ProgramThe ER Immerse Program prepares veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different from traditional rotating internship programs, it focuses on core competencies essential for an emergency clinician and includes client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The curriculum uses a hybrid training approach that incorporates simulation‑based didactics with authentic live‑patient experiences. It is designed using an evidence‑based strategy to identify essential competencies for a successful career.
Program Duration/Commitment
- 6‑month training program with flexible/rolling start dates
- 1‑year commitment as an ER clinician at ASEC following training
