Position: Parks Supervisor I

Department: Parks and Recreation Department — Central Area Parks Operations

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$22.84 to $25.12 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area. Work schedule variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled maintenance work as a working supervisor in charge of managing a cluster of small parks and/or one large park.
Provide routine supervision to subordinate staff.

Requirements

Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in buildings and grounds maintenance.
Buildings and grounds maintenance experience in a park setting is desired.

Special Requirements

Must possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during term of employment.
The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration if a Level I background criminal background investigation discloses disqualifying convictions.
In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man‑made disaster that may threaten the area, full‑time permanent employees will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
