Veterinary Specialty Center is hiring a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our specialty surgical team in Melbourne, Florida.
This is an opportunity to work directly with a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon, participate in advance surgical cases, and strengthen your skills in anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, hospitalization, and patient recovery.
General practice technicians are encouraged to apply.
You do not need years of specialty experience to be considered. If you have solid veterinary fundamentals and want to advance your skills, we’d like to talk with you.

What You'll DoAs a Veterinary Technician at Veterinary Specialty Center, you will play an important role throughout the surgical patient’s experience, from preparation and anesthesia through recovery and discharge.
Responsibilities may include:
- IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Preparing patients for surgical procedures
- Anesthesia preparation and monitoring
- Monitoring patients during surgical procedures
- Post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Medication administration
- Hospitalized patient nursing and monitoring
- Patient restraint and safe handling
- Assisting with advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Preparing and maintaining the surgical and treatment areas
- Communicating closely with veterinarians and the patient-care team

Full-Time, Monday–Thursday, Our hospital is closed Friday–Sunday.

CompensationStarting at $46,000/year, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
