Animal Specialty and Emergency Center of Brevard is a specialty referral and 24-hour emergency hospital committed to providing premier diagnostics and therapeutics in a comfortable, compassionate environment. As a Cardiologist, you’ll join a growing team of specialists, experienced Emergency clinicians, a certified canine rehabilitation therapist, and a highly skilled, well-established support team.
You’ll have access to advanced technology and a collaborative environment designed to support high-quality patient care, including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy, ventilator support, physical therapy with an underwater treadmill and acupuncture, and a full in-house laboratory.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Provide medical and/or interventional cardiology care, including diagnosis and management of complex cardiac cases.
- Perform and interpret echocardiograms, thoracic radiographs, ECGs, and Holter/telemetry monitoring.
- Participate in on-call coverage for ER echocardiograms and cath procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with overnight ER and ICU teams to support inpatient cardiac care.
- Access ongoing mentorship and training opportunities, including cath lab experience across the network.
- Utilize the hospital’s advanced technology and diagnostic capabilities to support comprehensive cardiac care.
- Collaborate closely with Emergency clinicians and other specialty teams on shared patients, referrals, and transfers.
- Mentor veterinary technicians and support team members as part of daily case management and patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners, providing education and guidance throughout the diagnostic and treatment process.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Board Certification in Cardiology or Residency Trained in Cardiology.
- Strong clinical skills and an interest in diagnosing and managing complex cardiovascular cases.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
