Position Overview
Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect in‑process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements and quality specifications. Utilize a variety of computer systems, statistical control processes, and measuring devices to execute in‑process, final, and feature inspections on the floor and online. Raise notifications of non‑conformance, quarantine non‑conforming product, and, when approved, provide scrap or standard rework disposition.
ResponsibilitiesWork from written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, gauges, and equipment. Accept material or refer for rework or quality review based on findings. Use fixed or variable measuring instruments where required, record results, and perform basic mathematical computations for pass/fail determination within allowed tolerances. Follow procedures to verify dimensions and ensure Work Instructions are followed.
Recognize the need for and arrange repair or calibration of measuring equipment. Support continuous improvement activities, maintain inspection stamps, manage multiple priorities, and maintain flexibility for training, workflow, and overtime as required.
Weekend Shift: 6:00AM – 6:00PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Basic blueprint reading ability.
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic shop math.
- Inspection experience in a production environment (preferred).
