Quality Inspector, 3rd shift

Job Summary

Quality Control Inspector located at a premier manufacturing client in West Melbourne, FL.

• $19.00 per hour plus 10% shift differential
• 3rd shift:
  Sunday 10:30 pm – 7:30 am;
  Monday–Thursday 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required

• Perform visual, mechanical, and functional inspections of plastic, sheet metal parts, sub‑assemblies, and electronic/electro‑mechanical components.
• Ensure material conforms to customer dimensional and cosmetic requirements.
• Complete real‑time data entry and maintain accurate quality records.
• Provide feedback to engineers and support data logging in internal database systems.
• Obtain and maintain drawings and procedures from internal systems.
• Conduct inspections on various production lines as needed.
• Use IPC‑A‑610 Standards, visual aids, BOMs, and written procedures for printed circuit board assembly inspection.
• Direct products for rework and confirm completion.
• Coordinate documentation for first‑article requirements and conduct first‑article inspections.
• Perform process audits and ensure compliance with internal documentation and ISO procedures.
• Maintain ESD integrity and keep a clean work area.
• Participate in training and potentially train other employees.

• Associate’s Degree in a related field (electronics focus preferred) and at least 2 years of high‑volume inspection experience in a contract‑manufacturing environment.
• Hold IPC‑A‑600/610/620 Certification.
• Familiar with operating a 3D Automated Optical Inspection (3
  
  DAOI) machine.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Understand basic electro‑mechanical tools and hand tools (multimeters, calipers, wrenches, torque drivers).
• Experience using ERP systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, reading comprehension, and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• ESD training; ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
• Willing to work flexible hours as needed.
• Meet “US Person” requirements per 22 CFR Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, etc.) due to work with ITAR‑controlled technical data.
