What You Will Do- Support daily activities across Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, Quality Assurance, and First Article Inspection (FAI) teams in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing quality data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in First Article Inspection (FAI) efforts, including documentation review, verification of specifications, and coordination with engineering and production teams.
- Conduct process walk-throughs, documentation checks, and quality audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective action activities under the guidance of Quality Engineers.
- Collaborate with inspectors and manufacturing personnel to resolve nonconformances and support process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the creation, revision, and control of quality documentation, including work instructions, checklists, and inspection reports.
- How quality systems ensure product conformity, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes, inspection methodologies, and quality engineering tools.
- Practical knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace industry quality requirements.
- Exposure to production operations, inspection equipment, and manufacturing workflows.
- How cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Quality) collaborate to maintain high reliability and drive continuous improvement.
- Real-world problem-solving techniques used for defect prevention, root-cause identification, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial Technology, or a related field and through the completion of the co‑op session.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- Exposure to manufacturing or lab environments through school projects, prior internships, or coursework.
- Basic understanding of quality concepts, such as First Article Inspection (FAI), nonconformance management, root‑cause analysis, and process control.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, or measurement tools.
- Experience organizing data, creating reports, or supporting technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts.
