Sr. Capture Manager

K 's Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) division delivers mission critical services to the U.S. military and coalition partners worldwide. The Readiness & Sustainment Solutions business unit seeks a Sr. Capture Manager to develop captures and campaigns that leverage internal capabilities and industry connections to win new work.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for researching and analyzing business opportunities aligned with the organization's long‑range and strategic plans. Duties include evaluating projects through financial feasibility studies, market research, and planning; assisting with special studies on operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, or cost containment; identifying market opportunities; and leading sales and technical teams to grow profitable revenue. Maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new high‑level contacts is critical.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Participate in development of marketing and business plans, strategy implementation, and control of the business development budget and forecasts for a defined area of responsibility.
  • Act as liaison with K  counterparts on cross‑business unit opportunities.
  • Manage the full BD life‑cycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals.
  • Develop plans to secure knowledge of customer requirements, issues, and needs during pursuit and capture phases.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, timing, and contract vehicles; lead white paper and RFI responses.
  • Plan and participate in capture activities, including identifying opportunities, conducting competitive assessments, teaming, price‑to‑win, developing strategy, and leading solutioning sessions.
  • Prioritize the allocation of sales and technical resources to accomplish strategic objectives and protect existing customer base.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development with OCONUS base operations support services and logistics.
  • Customer engagement experience with the Department of War and/or Fed Civ programs.
  • Strong relationships with industry leaders and demonstrated success building customer relationships.
  • Experience leading a team to capture and win projects above $200M.
  • Track record of winning opportunities in base operations, facility O&M, logistics and sustainment, and/or prepositioning.
  • Experience working on opportunities in both CONUS and OCONUS environments.
  • Successfully executed campaigns with the Department of War.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams (proposals, sales, executives, functional support).
  • Effective communication with executive and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years experience in operations and Business Development supporting Federal civilian agency clients.
  • Active Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
  • Experience working on classified pursuits.
  • Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma certification.
