Security Officer Patrol Operations in Melbourne, FL — unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, remaining visible to deter security-related incidents, and supporting access awareness through strong customer service and communication.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.58 / Hour

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hangars, office areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured entry points, and/or other concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted and controlled areas by verifying badges, visitor credentials, and/or delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
• Support security-related operations at an aerospace and defense location by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations that could impact daily operations.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
