Sheetmetal Mechanic

Meridian Mechanical Services, LLC. is currently looking to fill a position within our team. Meridian currently manages all types of Commercial HVAC/R, Plumbing, Gas and Pipe service work. We are looking for a team member who is well versed in Sheet metal mechanics. • Install, HVAC mechanical systems, and equipment in commercial structures.
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
• Follow building plans and specifications.
• Ability to review and identify required materials to complete specific tasks.
• Understanding of OSHA requirements and processes.
• Enforce safety procedures.
• Train and mentor new employees.

The hours are 7:00A.M. to 3:30P.M. Monday through Friday with overtime opportunities available based on individual project demands.

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the Sheet metal trade.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
• Familiarity with general Sheet metal practices and SMACNA.
• Effective communication and personable skills.
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.
• Ability to manage field personnel.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead crews to complete tasks in line with project schedule.

High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)

1-3 Years’ Experience In The Sheet metal Trade (preferred)

Valid driver’s license and transportation

Must have own tools (personal hand tools)

Must be able to be able to speak English
