Salary: $24.09 to $26.50 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Location:

South Area/Melbourne.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the operation and routine maintenance of several pieces of complex heavy equipment, and may perform related manual labor. Employee will rotate among various pieces of equipment.

• Operate and perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment (Front-End Loader, Track-Hoe excavator, Backhoe, Gradall) used in the construction and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and drainage structures.
• Pass and maintain a proficiency skills test for equipment operation.
• Rotate among various pieces of equipment as required.

• Three (3) years of experience in the operation and routine maintenance of heavy equipment including a Front-End Loader, Track-Hoe excavator, Backhoe and Gradall.
• Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Class A Commercial Driver's License and maintain it during employment.
• Ability to operate four (4) different types of heavy equipment (as listed above) and pass a proficiency skills test.
• Underground utility experience is preferred.

Heavy physical work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather, moving machinery, traffic, noise, dust, fumes, construction debris, and water. In disasters, perform emergency duties as directed.
