Air Field Electrician

Position Overview

Experienced Airfield Electrician – Airfield Systems/NAVAIDs (Airfield Electrician).

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of airfield navigational aids.
• Install and upgrade navigation aid systems, including wiring, control panels, and lighting fixtures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and identify potential issues before they become operational problems.
• Adhere to FAA regulations concerning airfield lighting, safety procedures, and documentation.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Test and calibrate navigational aids using specialized equipment.
• Coordinate with airport operations, air traffic control, and construction crews to minimize disruptions.

• 5+ years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years on airfield systems or navigational aids.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness and ability to travel to and stay at project sites for 2–8 month assignments across the U.S.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, airfield lighting, precision approach path indicators (PAPI), VHF omni‑directional range (VOR), and other navigation aids.
• Preferred OSHA Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) certification.
• Military veteran applicants are a plus.

• Competitive hourly wage ($28.00+ per hour) plus per diem.
