Position Title:

Plumber I - Facilities Services, Melbourne

The annual salary is $37,000
. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.

Responsible for plumbing equipment, preventative maintenance of equipment, repairs of all plumbing fixtures, lift stations and related equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years’ experience in the plumbing field; to include, general, commercial, or residential plumbing, or irrigation.
• Licensed Plumber preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability and knowledge to read and interpret schematics.
• Ability to read and apply operating/repair instructions.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have knowledge and use of computer software related to college supported systems accessing and inputting data.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, architects and engineers.
• Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required.
• A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process.
• This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay (currently $36.00). This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non‑refundable.

• Must have ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to stoop and stand for long periods.
• Works outside in various weather conditions.

• Works in noisy conditions.
