Repair Specialist

As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will use industry‑leading technology to repair vehicle glass with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting.

• Learn vehicle glass repair techniques in classroom and hands‑on settings under guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks and other auto‑glass related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals used throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company uniform and PPE policies.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required to operate a company vehicle.
• On‑the‑job training and completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Lift and carry up to 25lbs. for short periods; assist in lifting windshields weighing 26lbs. to 50lbs.
• Stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws, with monitoring by camera/video surveillance.
• Work outside in a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
• Work with chemicals, including flammable chemicals, as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting.”
• Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
• Problem‑solve and troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write and interpret English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer or other electronic means).
• Maintain professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
• Maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition.
