Commercial Service Electrician Overview
We are seeking a skillful, reliable, and experienced commercial service electrician with 5+ years of experience running a service truck. Candidates must have experience in commercial electrical service work with solid electric skills and knowledge. This position entails troubleshooting to clear problems and installing interior and exterior lighting, dedicated circuits, receptacles, and other electrical functions. The ideal candidate is a responsible, customer service‑oriented person with a good driving record.
Commercial service electricians typically perform scheduled service calls independently or as a pair with an emphasis on high‑quality work and safety. Preferred candidates are familiar with all commercial and electrical phases. Commercial service electricians maintain a harmonious and productive attitude toward other employees and clients. A desire to learn and a positive attitude are required. This position will report directly to the Commercial Service Manager.
Duties
- Performing routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Troubleshooting outages
- Adhering to all quality and safety codes
- Familiarity with codes and installation specs for the South Florida area
- Proficient use of electrical hand tools
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment, including the use of electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Installation and repair electrical systems and fixtures
- Installation of various types of panel and services
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
- Other duties as assigned
- Seasoned Electrician with a minimum of 5+ years of experience running a service truck in the professional commercial or industrial electrical trade
- Professional appearance, ability to use a Smart Phone/Tablet, willingness to work safely, great attitude, and ambition to grow
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment, including electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with local and national codes
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, running conduit with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements

Licenses/Certifications:
Journeyman’s License, OSHA Training, Driver’s License
- 5+ years of experience working as a commercial electrician out of a service truck
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transportation is required
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience - Positive interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with others collaboratively
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices
- Previous OSHA Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) certification is a plus
