Industrial Systems Technician

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, HVAC systems, and fire protection equipment. Works closely with facility teams to support operations and minimize downtime.

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, control panels, and motors.
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC units (heating, cooling, ventilation).
• Inspect and replace filters, belts, and other components to maintain optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and ensure proper operation.

• Test, inspect, and maintain fire detection and suppression systems such as alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
• Ensure systems meet local and national fire safety regulations.
• Respond to system failures and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

• Maintain records of work performed, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions.
• Stay updated on new technologies and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial systems.

• AA/AS degree or equivalent 2-year post‑high‑school training.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical systems, HVAC maintenance, and fire protection systems.
• Proven experience in the above areas, ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Availability to work shifts, weekends, or on‑call duties as needed.
• Relevant certifications such as EPA 608 (HVAC), NICET (fire protection), or journeyman electrician license are highly desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures for industrial environments.
