Industrial Systems Technician (Onsite)
Location:
Melbourne, FL. The role requires U.S. citizenship. This position involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, HVAC systems, and fire protection equipment.
- Electrical Systems: Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and implement corrective measures; ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
- HVAC Systems: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units; inspect and replace filters, belts, and other components.
- Fire Protection Systems: Maintain fire detection and suppression systems such as alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
- General Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment; respond to machine breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions; follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and facility maintenance standards.
- High school diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post high school training).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical systems, HVAC maintenance, and fire protection systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, heights.
- Availability to work in shifts, weekends, or on‑call as needed.
- Certifications such as EPA 608 (HVAC), NICET (fire protection), or journeyman electrician license.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures for industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
