We are hiring immediately for full‑time Route Driver – Smart Service positions at Canteen.
Location:
6934 Vickie Circle, Melbourne, FL 32904.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday.
Fixed Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.
Drives company vehicle over established route to deliver products and maintain inventory. Responsible for the delivery of top‑notch service to clients and customers at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prior to each day’s route, ensure truck is properly loaded with all required product to service scheduled machines following outlined operational procedures.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
- Load hand cart with totes of product, walk to the machines, and load them. Return to truck with hand truck of empty totes.
- Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at designated client locations.
- Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and related equipment.
- Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines. When necessary, report defective equipment to designated maintenance repair service operators or technician dispatcher.
- Maintain accurate machine product and inventory data via a handheld computer.
- Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints; report all client and/or customer complaints to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays, or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Accountable for all receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
- Conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with established procedures.
- Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Valid driver’s license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws.
- Preferred 1–2 years’ experience in a customer‑service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
