Dredge Operator - Leverman

Immediate position available for a Dredge Operator. This is a great opportunity for an experienced dredge operator to join our growing team! Excellent benefits, vacation, sick and holiday paid time off. You must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience operating a Hydraulic Dredge.

Starting hourly pay range for this position: $25.00 to $30.00. This is based on previous work experience, skills, and current certifications/professional licenses.

Responsibilities for the Dredge Operator:

• Operating and maintaining the hydraulic dredge
• Completion of daily dredge and maintenance log
• Must be motivated and able to work independently
• Be able to communicate well with the superintendent, boat operators, dredge engineer and deck hands
• Assist in mobilizations/demobilizations as needed
• Duties will include cleaning equipment, check fluids and grease daily
• Position will include some miscellaneous laborer
• Position will require out of town (Florida) travel for extended periods

Requirements for the Dredge Operator:

• MUST have 5+ years plus in dredge operation experience
• Must maintain a valid driver's license
• Experienced in marine construction
• Heavy equipment experience a plus
• OSHA certifications a plus
• Boating or equipment certifications a plus
• Must be able to work outside for entire shift in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet) required
• Be honest, hardworking, reliable, punctual and attitude to get the job done

Physical demands/work environment for the Dredge Operator:

• Physical/sensory functions:
  Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear;
  Frequently will reach with hands;
  Occasionally will stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
• Lift and/or move functions:
  Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds;
  Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds;
  Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
