- Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Monday–Friday, with rotating weekend shifts
- Rotating on-call duties; must report within 30 minutes

Under a radiologist's supervision, the Interventional Radiology Technologist performs specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation and provides technical support to patients, doctors, and nursing staff during interventional procedures in the Radiology Department.
Key Responsibilities- Procedure Preparation:
Set up imaging equipment, trays, and supplies to ensure safety and efficiency. - Equipment Operation:
Operate and troubleshoot imaging systems with technical proficiency. - Room Maintenance:
Keep procedure rooms clean, stocked, and ready for quick turnover. - Contrast Media Handling:
Assist with preparation and administration of contrast agents per guidelines; label all medications accurately. - Patient Care:
Assess and provide age-appropriate care, minimizing radiation exposure. - Patient Identification:
Confirm identity using two identifiers before procedures. - Patient Assistance:
Help with safe transfers between beds, carts, and exam tables. - Imaging Technique:
Apply correct protocols and immobilization techniques based on patient age. - Safety Protocols:
Follow sterile, aseptic, and universal precautions to ensure patient safety. - Licensure &
Education:
Maintain credentials through ongoing professional development. - Documentation:
Complete all records accurately and in a timely manner. - System Verification:
Confirm patient data in scanner via modality worklist and verify orders in EPIC/RIS. - Image Management:
Upload images to PACS and track procedures in RIS. - Downtime Procedures:
Follow backup protocols and update systems once restored.
- Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent training through work experience or education; 1–2 years of related experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology; 3–5 years of related experience
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
- Certified Vascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT) – Preferred
- Basic keyboarding skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
Salary Range: $30.00 - $57.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
