Job Description

Great opportunity to join a well-respected, established, fast-growing, team-oriented, manufacturing company with five facilities in Melrose Park and Elk Grove Village.

Summary

The position of Master Production Scheduler will be responsible for capacity planning oversight and execution, and supervision of production coordinators in a vertically integrated, multi-site manufacturing environment. This role involves interaction with sales, production, purchasing and inventory teams to support company production needs in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Infor Visual or similar).
  • Lead, manage and hold accountable production coordinators.
  • Oversee multi-site capacity planning to support customer order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedules, changes and delays to all affected stakeholders—engineering, customer service, sales, operations, purchasing.
  • Identify bottlenecks to schedule attainment (materials/personnel/equipment) and communicate resolutions to appropriate team(s).
  • Proactively engage in long-term capacity planning activities based on sales forecasts.
  • Improve existing capacity planning tools.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Education/Training/Experience

Minimum associate’s degree required; 4‑year college degree preferred. 4+ years of planning/scheduling related experience and supervisory experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems required.

  • Must be self‑motivated and team-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with additional hours as necessary.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between DRC’s five local facilities occasionally.
