Join Our Team as a Dynamic Nursing Supervisor! Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while enjoying flexibility and work‑life balance? We’re looking for a dedicated nurse to join our team, working one 12‑hour day or night shift every two weeks (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure appropriate staffing during assigned shift.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing and other departments.
  • Provide consultation to Nurse Managers on administrative issues.
  • Confers with Nursing staff individually as patient or staff needs dictate.
  • Evaluate Nursing care activities throughout the shift.
  • Resolve complexities of bed allocation.
  • Address complex patient care situations daily.
  • Refer staff to clinical resources as appropriate.
  • Foster nursing care practices consistent with hospital philosophy, standards, and policies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate for patient age.
  • Recognize need for continuing education and evaluate staff orientation progress.
  • Promote changes in nursing care practices as necessary.
  • Participate in formal evaluations of nursing care delivery and other aspects.
  • Encourage a scientific, problem‑solving approach to patient‑care problems.
  • Update technology within nursing; consult with Professional Development for protocol revision.
  • Follow hospital‑wide and departmental safety and infection control policies.
  • Practice safe use of equipment.
  • Consistently display appropriate customer relations behavior as dictated by the Customer Service Program.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and follow recommendations made by teams.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education

Master’s Degree

Minimum Experience

3–5 years of previous job‑related experience

Preferred Experience

6–10 years of previous job‑related experience

Details

Minimum of three years hospital nursing experience

Managerial Experience

1–2 years;
Charge nurse or nursing supervisor experience

Licensure/Certification s
  • Required:

    ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified), CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois
  • Preferred: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Other: CPI training highly desirable
Compensation

Pay Range: $35.89 – $62.91

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
