Cardiac Telemetry (5S)

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a 24-bed unit comprising 6 semi-private rooms and 12 private rooms. It is a specialized unit caring for patients with acute and chronic heart problems. Our unit is known to provide outstanding care for patients with heart illness to improve their overall quality of life. We play an important role in the lives of the patients and their families.

• Responsibilities:
  The Cardiac Telemetry Unit provides acute and chronic heart care. Nurses are responsible for monitoring telemetry, administering medications, collaborating with the Cardiac Team, providing patient and family education, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The unit focuses on high quality, patient-centered care, teamwork, and professional growth. The role welcomes new graduates and experienced nursing professionals, offering a new grad residency program and six weeks hospital orientation for experienced nurses.

• A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required – BSN or ADN
• BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
• 1 year of experience (preferred – we do welcome New Grads!)

Compensation

BSN Pay Range: $34.76 - $57.06 per hour
ADN Pay Range: $32.31 - $50.71 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
