Responsibilities- Build program activities and provide group exercise instruction to members and non-members of all fitness levels in accordance with safe exercise guidelines.
- Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes directed by the Fitness Manager to accomplish Center mission and goals.
- Build effective, authentic relationships with members; help members connect with each other and the Center.
- Answer questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living.
- Maintain working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Keep accurate class attendance records and plan new classes each quarterly session.
- Follow center policies and procedures; respond to emergency situations.
- Attend staff meetings and training.
- Assess each class to determine individual ability to follow instructions, adjust workouts to skill levels, offer exercise options, change music and movements frequently, and keep classes engaging.
- Required:
HS Diploma or GED. - Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.
- Required:
1 year of experience teaching group wellness classes.
- Required:
Personal training or group exercise instructor certification through an accredited agency such as ACE, AFAA, NETA, NASM and/or a specialized certification such as Less Mills, Zumba, Pound, Barre, or related certification.

Pay Range$18.16 - $28.14 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
