Delivery Driver

Melrose Park Logistics is a last-mile delivery company serving local businesses and residents across the Chicagoland area. We're hiring reliable, safety-minded Delivery Drivers to join our team.

What you'll do
Delivery drivers will arrive at the station at start time and load packages into their delivery vehicle. You'll use a mobile device to navigate and deliver each package, making sure every one is delivered safely and properly to the customer. You'll operate your vehicle in a professional and safe manner, obey the rules of the road, and work toward zero safety violations on the safety system (Netradyne).

You'll also have performance standards to meet on a daily and weekly basis.

Details

• Location: Melrose Park, IL (5th & North Avenue)
• Schedule: Full-time, 35-40 hours per week
• Availability: You MUST have OPEN AVAILABILITY. The schedule includes 1 weekend (Sat/Sun) shift and 3 weekday shifts
• Shift: 10:25 AM to 8:25 PM (or route completion)
• Pay: $23.75/hr, paid biweekly on Fridays
• Current delivery areas: Northwest suburbs (no City of Chicago routes)
• License requirement: All cargo drivers MUST be able to obtain a Non-CDL Class C license and DOT card within 45 days of employment. ( We provide you with test materials for the written and road test)

What to expect
Routes average 100 to 198 stops. Earbuds are allowed for music, but personal phone use, such as calls and social media, is prohibited while on the clock. New hires must pass a 3-day paid training course before starting deliveries. You'll start off with nursery routes and must be able to complete all of your routes on your own daily.
